Protecting Medicinal Plants
United Plant Savers’ mission is to protect native medicinal plants, fungi, and their habitats while ensuring renewable populations for future generations. Sacred Seeds became part of United Plant Savers in 2015. Sacred Seeds is a global network of botanical sanctuaries preserving biodiversity and plant knowledge through living gardens, containing locally important plants focused on medicinal but including those for ceremonial, food, and craft use.
Land Preservation
D&R Greenway Land Trust works throughout central New Jersey to keep the “Garden” in the Garden State. New Jersey is the first state predicted to reach “build-out”, according to a Rutgers University study. Their mission: Preserve and Care for Land and Inspire a Conservation Ethic, Now and Forever.
